Paper web skivers
|
The in-line skivers are mostly used in
following applications:
- In the winding of textile tubes, to
get a smooth tube under the parchment
and to be able to run the parchment
overlap anywhere on the tube
- In the winding of smooth tubes for
the plastic film industry. The same
tubes will then be ground and polished
on our PW lines.
- In the production of composite cans,
to get a smooth tubes under the printed
label and to strengthen the can body.
The skiving is made on both upper sides
(or, optionally, on opposite sides) of one
paper ply pulled through the skiver by the
winder.
