Lines to produce standard paper tubes

|
A very standard line is our LT 225 (for a
diameter range of 25 to 280 mm) with single
knife or multi-knife cutting systems and a
maximum number of 24 plies. Here too, PAKEA
offers several alternative unwinding and gluing
systems.
For even smaller tubes, we offer our LT 110 (for a
diameter range of 12 to 150 mm) running up to 12 plies.
All our winders are equipped with the mandrel
deflection compensation system, the pneumatical belt
tensioner, the powerful AC drive motors with vectorial
drive, and with a unique stabilized belt drive ensuring
high radial pressure on the tube and a better pulling of
the paper plies, without slipping.

Lines to produce paper tubes with multi-knife cutting
assemblies

Flying Knife Winders with In-line Multiple Knife
Cutting Assemblies are ideal for the production of light
and medium wall tubes with shorter cut lengths (to avoid
quite expensive tube handling, storing and recutting
works).
Given the high speeds of these machines, they are
basically recommended for medium and long runs.
PAKEA can offer 2 lines:
- The LTSCD 110 line, diameter range of 12 to 100
mm, wall thickness up to 4/5 mm and cut lengths from
50 mm to endless.
- The LTSCD 216 line, diameter range of 25 to 160
mm, wall thickness up to 8/12 mm and cut lengths
from 50 mm to endless.

Lines to produce very thin and small diameter tubes

|
For very thin and small diameter tubes, PAKEA
engineered an exceptional and dedicated line:
the LTSCD 20 GV. This high speed line winds and
cuts tubes (for example, diameter 12 mm, length
76 mm) at incredible rates of 1200 pieces per
minute. Most probably the fastest spiral winding
line in the world!
This line integrates all the high tech
systems such as automatic paper reel splicing,
motorized revolver unwinders, powered unwinding
systems for consistent ply tension, synchronized
gluing rollers, automatic OD monitoring, a
cutting assembly with up to 25 knives, electric
knife plunging, waste ring and dust selection
devices, a cut length change in less than 5
minutes,… |

Lines to produce construction tubes

PAKEA also produces a winding line specially designed
for the large diameter tubes mostly used in the building
industry as column formers.
Special unwinders and gluers have been engineered to
accommodate the large paper plies. The winding head type
SP 1000 with its vertical turret has been specially
engineered for the production of large cores of
diameters 120 to 1250 mm.
The cutting systems are in-line saw cutters, or even
better, single knife cutters..

Lines to produce smooth tubes

To wind very thin plastic films such as BOPP or
delicate materials, smooth tubes are required. PAKEA
offers a complete line to produce these tubes including
the spiral winding line with the top ply skiving unit,
the grinding and waxing machine type PW as well as the
recutter with some special outfit to protect the tube
surface.
We can supply finishing lines with single or double
grinding heads, waxing and polishing heads and the tube
conveying systems.
The number of grinding and waxing heads will
determine the quality of the finished product and
especially the speed. Other combinations and numbers of
working heads are existing and could be quoted for
optionally.

Lines to produce tape cores

|
Complete lines have been specially designed by
PAKEA to produce tape cores. Several options
are possible:
- With dynamic dryer or static batch dryers or
without dryers,
- With index cutters of the ACTIVA type (for very
flexible production but low and medium volumes),
- With multi-knife and single mandrel recutters
(for medium and large volumes),
- With multi-knife and 3- mandrel recutters (for
very large volumes).

Lines to produce textile tubes

| The
textile industry uses a lot of various
cylindrical paper tubes type OE, DTY, POY,
FDY,…which are produced on complete lines
delivered by PAKEA.
The complete line comprises mainly:
- the parent tube winding line of the LT
types
- the finishing line (CCM recutters and
MATT finishing machines)
- and possibly a static batch dryer.
The CCM recutters will cut the parent tubes
into individual tube and the MATT textile tube
finishing machines will bull-nose, burnish,
groove, slit and notch tubes for the spinning
and texturizing industries.
PAKEA installs complete turn key projects and
assists its customers for the start up and the
know how.

Lines to produce flat tubes

Flat tubes are used in several industries as
protection sleeves, reel protections, large ice cream
containers,… and can be produced with the spiral winding
or with the convolute winding technologies.
The PAKEA line is mainly composed of:
- a spiral winding line
- a scoring machine
- a flattening machine
- and a guillotine cutter.
